acura cars : These are just my opinions, I base it on my tastes and what I speculate andhear from other people.Well, I suspect that everyone will think I'm nuts, but my favorite Hondahas always been the '88-'89 Integra LS 5-door. I'm not sure exactlywhat it is about it, but it looks good to me. I used to have one, but Ihad to trade it in for a bigger (family) car. I spend my days planningto get another one and trying to decide what engine to put in it, andwhether to supercharge it or not.Oops, I left out the most recent Acura Legend Coupes, despite their age, have a pretty modern look to them, they look somewhat like the new AccordCoupes, just look at the rear (from a side angle), from the back it almostlooks like a new Prelude. I'd stick it somewhere between the Integra andthe Civic Coupe in the 5th and 6th spots respectively. How about the first generation Legend coupe. I'd place that in the top 5Taste not withstanding, to leave the 92-96 Legend sedan out of the top 3 is atravesty. Elegant styling with a hint of aggressiveness. Much better contoursthan the coupes of that generation which look like a meat cleaver was used tostyle the rear. The Legend sedan is one of those wonderful designs that getsmuch worse with *any* pinstripe treatments. My $0.02.

S20001. NSXSome people prefer the old lights better than the new Integra lights, however if only the shape of the car was rounder and smoother, much like thecurrent Japanese Integras (they possess lights similar to last generationIntegras, but a smoother design like the current American Integras)I don't know how the Accord Sedan could even be compared in looks to theCoupe, I actually like the 1994-1997 Accord Sedans better than the currentexisting ones. The 1990-1993 Accords don't look much different from the Preludes of(1987-1991), same pop-up lights, same squarish design, but different rearend, I think the Prelude looks sleeker. You are thinking of the '86-89 Accords. The '90 to '93 Accordsdid not have pop up lights. These also got larger and more rounded. But yea, the Preludes with the pop up lights looksawsome... they still look good today when properly done... acura cars : I'm thinking of picking up a used TL or RL. Are they as sound as a Nissan?I've had incredibly good experiences with Maxima's, but I'm looking forsomething a little heavier. Do Acura cars ever come with a manualtransmission?YES!!! Acuras are very sound a reliable...I'd put mine up against any Nissanor Infinity....buy one with pride and confidence!!!"Duncan A. Iwould have to agree that they hold up much better that Nissans in the longhaul...Duncan A. McRae <duncan@ NO SPAM mcrae.ca> wrote in message...It doesnt burn oil. Just replaced the ORIGINAL alternator recently.I bought a new TL, and I havent been in a rush to sell my legend. I stilldrive it instead of the TL!!"Duncan A. McRae" <duncan@ NO SPAM mcrae.ca> wrote in message..."Here - here!" I purchased my USED Acura Vigor 5 years ago with about 44kmi. on it. I also purchased an extended warranty thinking if somethingexpensive failed I'd hate to be left with a large repair bill. Turns outthat was wasted money. The thing doesn't break! Got about 112k mi. now andit honestly runs like it's brand new. Granted, I do most of the maintenance(oil & filter about every 3k mi.) and belt, fluids, etc. I don't think youwill find a better car on the planet. acura cars : PS - I used to drive Europeans for years... and years... and years...! Canyou say, "BOSCH MAINTENANCE"?!??? Which = $$$$$ You'll get my Acura fromme when you pry my cold, dead fingers.... You get the idea. ;-)I've had a couple of Maximas, and they've also been veryreliable. The first was at 160,000 miles (256,000 Km)before being squished by a truck. The second is at 140,000Km (90,000 miles) and, although obviously abused by thefirst leaser/owner, has required nothing but an alternator. It will soon require an all-round brake job, but beyond thatit continues to operate flawlessly. That being said, I think I might have just fallen in lovewith a 1997 3.0 CL, 82,000 Km for CAD 19,900 (approximatelyUSD 13,200, remember that cars start their lives lessexpensive in Canada). What are the group's opinions on thisyear & model ('cause a lease on the 2002 CL, with morepowerful engine, can't be much more).Given all your comments to this point, it's a go. I wouldappreciate some feedback specifically on getting yourchildren in and out of child seats in the back. I have athree year-old who has been known to fall asleep in her carseat. I'd like to know about fuel economy and trunk space(since there's going to be a nice sub in there if Ipurchase). acura cars : Cunningham to make 100th World Challenge start.Leads SPEED World Challenge in six categories.SAUKVILLE WI (July 9, 2002) -- RealTime Racing driver PeterCunningham will become the first driver in SPEED World Challenge serieshistory to make 100 race starts on Saturday, July 20, when he takes thegreen flag in the SPEED GT race at the RFK Stadium temporary street circuitin Washington, D.C.Cunningham will drive an RTR-built Acura NSX SC in that race.
