acura tsx price : That's what the owner of our local Honda dealer told me -- limitedproduction/availability like the S-2000. I would say that 5k over list ormore is a likelyhood. An alternative may be the new Acura TSX with a 190plus 2.4 I-4 with a 6 speed, which sounds a little like the old EuropeanAccord R sedan with the Prelude engine. I'll hold onto my 01 Prelude whichI paid $20,600 last year when dealers wanted them off the lots.I am looking for a new car and the Accord Coupe V6 6Sp is pretty high on mylist. But if they make it limited production, I am going to cross it off.The Acura TSX is currently among the top candidates. I am not going to pay$30K for an Accord. For that much I'd rather have an entry level 3-series.I suppose Honda made a market decision. Only around 10% (at least the dataI've seen) of the cars today sold have a manual. Most folks will buy theAccord V6 with the automatic with only a few diehards (like myself) wantingthe 6 speed. There isn't any doubt that the Accord V6 Coupe 6sp will not be as big aseller as other variants. However, I don't see that as an excuse toartificially limit the production of this vehicle to one per dealer. If youcan sell more, which I am sure they can, why not make more? This isdifferent from the S2000 where its initial hard-to-find nature contributedto the car's high end image. There is no such image associated with theAccord.
acura tsx price : i don't think the TSX is going to be that much. it's supposed to be a replacement for the 4-door Integra. last time i remember, the old Integra 4-doors weren't more than $25K for the GSR.besides, an entry level BMW 3-series is hardly worth the money. do you really want to spend $33K+ for a car that is semi-reliable and is easily smoked by a $24K Nissan Altima? that was the reason why i decided not to get a BMW 325 or a Lexus IS300. for that much money, i would rather get more than just a fancy nameplate and free espresso in the dealer service waiting room. :-Pi wouldn't mind getting a used IS300, but the 5-spd models are only a year old and used prices are still high. so far the TSX is at the top of my list. the Mazda 6 is also on my list. and the Mitsu Lancer EVO was recently added. i'm just waiting for the LA Auto Show to find out the official release dates and prices for the TSX and EVO."slackerbot" wrote in message...The altima will not outrun the v6 honda 2003 coupe. been there and done it.My 2002 si civic will leave any altima at the stop light, up to a certainspeed, but who cares I got the jump by two or three car lengths and then cutback.
acura tsx price : Also take a look at the new Mazda 6. I am not saying it is better than whatthe TSX will be, but it is worth the look.--2002 Acura TL Type SBrax, Dynaudio, Helix,Velodyne, Kimber Kable"A.C." wrote in message...According to the Acura, the car is targeted to the young executive type age27 - 35 who wants an entry level luxury sedan that is an alternative to theAudi A-4 or a BMW 3 series. Leaves us old folks out of the picture withCaddys, large SUVs or Lincoln towncars. Of course, I guess I can stilldrive my Prelude, if that's OK with Acura. The price is supposed to beclose to 30k. You may want to consider the IS 300 or even a BMW 3 series --what's a few more thou to an upcoming young executive. Are you sure the TSX is going to cost that much? That is more than a TL-P. Ithought the TSX was supposed to be positioned between the Accord and theTL-P...--2002 Acura TL Type SBrax, Helix, DenonVelodyne, Kimber KableWho knows -- but the info I read claimed was starting at 26k to 31k."B" wrote in message...That is probably what it will be priced at in Canada. I apologize if that iswhat you originally meant...

My friend had a '93 Mazda 626 that wentthrough 3, that's right, 3 Transmissions in the first 90K miles. I have question regarding how hard you'd push a new car...but could it be the TSX 's base weightthat is (I guess) 300 lbs heavier? Could that be because he wastest-driving it with the additional weight of his wife and asalesperson?Anyway, i am glad for the report, highly appreciated... so that ifpeople even loyal ones don't like it, the sales could be weak andthe sales managers 'd have hard time to keep them up or even markup, letalone the bXXXsXXX those sales/marketing about limited amount per year...
acura tsx price : I am sure frankly i 'd want to test drive it alone. By looking at thespecs, it sounds like a Prelude and of course a prelude stock 'd notbeat a GSR, let alone modified one. So, i 'd consider the resale value, its overallcost of maintanence over years and the most attractive styling to me ifcompared with Mazda6 (shall compare it with the 4 cylinders forfairness) but if price factor wise, then indeed we need to add up theequipments already included in the standard TSX such as powereverything, moonroof, 360W sound system, 6 disc in dash cd changer, leather. So it is about $2k included in the msrp $26,490. Yes, i know...it is still way expensive than a 4 cylinders Mazda6. I was surprised at the weight of the car at 3200 lbs which is heavier thana I4 Accord. And, the price is about the same as the Accord coupe V6 6speed.On Wed, 2 Apr 2003 19:40:10 -0800, "Jimmy G" wrote:And they've got a lot of nerve, "A new level of performance!"Yeah, low! Virtually all the competition has six cylinder engines, and I'm guessing most are a little lighter, too.I stopped by a showroom coincidently. so there it was a TSX in carbon gray color. There was a black outside, too.
