I hope 240 "minutes" does not become the standard for DVD+ orany recordable DVD media. It's certainly deceptive to the uneducatedconsumer. Personally, I think all DVD writable media should be ratedin minutes, at the MAX DVD-video bitrate. Video tape has always been sold by therecording time at the standard speed, and the general public will expect thesame of DVD, so discs marked as 240 minutes or some other arbitrary time aregoing to bought on the pretence their is more recording space. infiniti dvd r : I've read a bit about the fake TDK DVD-R thing, and it's got me puzzled.Today I got some Infiniti 2x DVD-R discs at the local computer fair.Firstly these work perfectly in my A05 1.21 at 2x. Secondly, uponinspection with Nero CD Speed, they report themselves as TDK discs, withthe code TDKG02000000.Now in the discussions about the fake TDK discs that I've seen, it hasbeen claimed that TDK *only* sell their discs in individual jewel caseswith full TDK branding. If this is indeed true, then the Infiniti discsmust be fakes.Firstly, I can't believe such a recognisable brand as Infiniti would beusing fakes. Secondly, if they were fakes, then I'd expect them not towork in my A05.Surely TDK must sell their product to others to sell on? VAT) for Infiniti DVD+RW from Medea International ()Robb Masters:Check out (my apologies here) They have DVD+R @ £2ishand DVD+RW @ £4.50ish.Deejay:I suppose it depends on what you are doing with the drive itself. If youare going into the whole "illegal" stuff (games/films etc) then the Pioneerseries of DVD-R drives are probably the best a the mo.
