subaru parts : Oh no, not your phone number. Take some Valium and relax. God forbidyou give your number and VIN to a Subaru dealer. The site wanted one's name, email address, home address, home phone, VIN andassorted other information. I fail to see why they need all of this to simplygive me a price on an auto part. One might suspect that they are collecting this data to sell it to the annoyingfolks that call you during dinner hours. This could be supplementing theirincome thus a reason why they can sell their parts at such a discount. Makesense?I choose not to allow this to happen to me. If someone wants my business it isaccording to my terms, not theirs. The form stated that the requestedinformation was REQUIRED to get a simple quote for a part. This leads me tobelieve that they may be doing something that I mentioned above. In the future, could you keep your rude comments off the newsgroup? It was nothelpful.I would like to thank everyone who has recommended our web site. I'm gladyou found the experience positive. I would like to agree that the web basedparts form is a little extreme. I do not like it either. But I would NEVERuse this information to contact anyone at home. It does not supplement myincome (which leaves much to be desired) My main purpose is to offer Subaruowner's a better price for the parts they need. 90% of my business iswholesale. I do not get anything from my boss for all the time and effortthat I put in to replying to all e-mail requests. I have been in the Subaruparts business for almost 20 years, and I have never even consideredannoying my customers at their home or place of business. If you need aparts quote and do not wish to use the form on our web site, simply e-mailme at and I will reply. If you wish any other information, Iwill give you my National watts phone number and you can contact me.Thank YouDarlene

subaru parts : I'm looking for recommendations for or against online Subaru parts dealers.I'm only looking for original, new Subaru parts.Located in Tacoma, Washington. I can almost guarantee these guys will becheaper than any local outfit selling Subaru OEM parts (dealer orindependent). These guys were defintely cheaper than all the online budgetshops I contacted.I live in Tacoma, and have bought parts from that dealership. Thesilly-assed thing is that they won't give me internet prices if I pick upthe parts myself. They have to be SHIPPED to me even though I live 2 milesaway. Very strange.LOL! I live far enough away where this was not an inconvenience, but I seewhere it can be a hassle for you. They probably are also getting a cut ofthe shipping and handling costs when offerring the prices as cheap as theydo.Do you still order parts through them (I'd like to hear more stories onthis one)?I have just ordered a rear bumper protector for my legacy. In New Zealand I wasquoted NZ200(US100) for the part. They sell it for US $32. To off set the shipping cost US$18.5 I also ordereda key blank and I hate to admit it, a chrome exhaust pipe surround.

I'm just a happycustomser. \ Brandon Harder / / Department of Pediatrics University of Washington \I ordered a used EGR solenoid valve from Teagues last friday. Itarrived at my door fast and was in great condition for a used part. They gave me prices on new and used parts and didn't give me any crapabout choosing to buy the cheaper used part.
